LaDainian Tomlinson Dances Up a Storm
With a few days until the San Diego Chargers visit the New York Jets in the AFC Divisional Playoffs, Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson (also known as LT) apparently decided his team needed some help keeping the mood light.
Mission accomplished, sir. I mean, sure, his team is coming into the game riding an 11-game winning streak (currently the longest in the NFL) and will be at home facing a team with a rookie QB (Mark Sanchez) who threw nearly twice as many interceptions as touchdowns, but LT obviously thought they could use even more reason to relax.
According to an interview he had with XX Sports Radio (courtesy of Sport Radio Interviews), the video was shot a couple of years ago, but it had somehow been kept hidden all this time. And how did his teammates react? Tomlinson said in the interview, "Everybody is doing the dance now. Everybody is doing it."
For those of you old enough to remember the 1986 Super Bowl, a certain Chicago Bears team came up with the "Super Bowl Shuffle":
The Bears seemed to do pretty well in the game, clobbering the New England Patriots 46-10. Maybe LT's hoping his video will have a similar effect for the Chargers playoff run. If anything, it should make their touchdown celebrations a little more interesting.
