Ladies Rejoice: Introducing the SheWee

top-pic1-1.gifThigh muscles getting too bulky from hovering above germ-filled public toilets? Jealous of your boyfriend’s ability to go in the woods without exposing his bare nether regions? Maybe it’s time to invest in a SheWee.

Billed to be “as much of a handbag essential as your mobile phone” (although I don’t recommend holding it up to your face), the SheWee is your on-the-go safety device for unseemly bathroom situations. A piece of plastic formed into a shape that’s somewhere between a shoehorn and a straw, the SheWee looks remarkably similar to a Jai Alai glove. This clear plastic unit (which also comes in pink for breast cancer awareness) can be purchased online for under $15. To use, simply press the object against your body, creating a runway for your urine, which is then funneled down into a tube, allowing women to pee as easily and freely as a man without ever having to fully drop drawers and squat.how_to_shewee_circle_image_with_woman_and_shewee.jpg

Wondering what to do with the pee-covered device once you’ve saturated it in urine? Don’t worry! The SheWee carrying case can be purchased for an additional $7.95. Besides, as they remind you on the website, urine is sterile.

Initially developed by Samantha Fountain for female backpackers, the SheWee has made quite a splash in the marketplace. Not just for campers, the website also claims that this product will benefit women giving urine samples and those with limited mobility, including the pregnant, elderly, and disabled.

And, like anything marketed to women, there are lots of accessories. Traveling the high seas and scared of choppy waves and extreme winds? For just $2.75 you can purchase the SheWee extension, perfect for situations where you need a little extra distance.

First timers, before taking it on the road, the makers of SheWee recommend practicing in the shower. (You’re peeing in there anyway, right?) Once you’ve become a SheWeeing professional, get out there and tell the world. Yes, SheWee even sells t-shirts which read, “Stand Up and Take Control” in bright pink letters.shewee_product_range_151209.jpg

So whether you’re on an all-day hike, stuck in an unkempt stall, or have always had a little penis envy – this female urination device has got you covered. Visit their website for where to buy information.
