Organic Lawn Care 101

You've spent all summer watering, fertilizing (organically, hopefully!?) and taking care of your gorgeous expanse of lush, green grass. You might even be one of those people who stand back and stare in an almost catatonic state as your sprinkler goes back and forth, hypnotizing you and lulling you into a state of pure front lawn joy.

Hey, whatever floats your boat, babe.

It's good to take care of yard and with the season's change, we shouldn't neglect it. With just a few good pointers and direction, you can organically tend to your home's outside pride and joy.

Water in the morningWater deeply and infrequentlyUse an automatic shutoff to control watering when you're away from home. Use organic fertilizers and soil amendmentsChoose the right plant for the right place.

Check out their slideshow here (courtesy the founder of Safelawns.org) on more tips (22 in all!) on how to keep your lawn alive and well.
