Kids, you now have a new reason to eat your vegetables: they can make you sexy!

PETA recently announced its Sexiest Vegetarian of the Year awards, and across the pond, Leona Lewis (pictured right) took top European honors for the second year in a row. In addition to her healthy eating lifestyle, the "Bleeding Love" singer is working on a vegan shoe and handbag line and a cruelty-free perfume. In fact, she won't even wear materials that come from animals.

When I talked to her last year about her meat-free existence, Lewis said, "I became a vegetarian when I was 12 and learned where meat actually came from. It really put me off. I believe animals should be treated with kindness and they have feelings and emotions and we shouldn't make them feel hurt and pain. That's why I don't eat meat."

Meanwhile, over in the States, American Idol hottie Kellie Pickler took the honors. As the country singer wrote on MySpace, "I just found out that I was voted 'PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian! How cool is that?!! … I was jumping up and down when I heard the news! I even Googled it to make sure I wasn't being punk'ed!"

I guess it all comes down to this. You know those TV commercials with the dude eating the big, sloppy burger? Not sexy. Vegetarian singers Leona Lewis and Kellie Pickler? Very sexy. You do the math!
