Mark Malkoff Carried by Kindness Across NYC
On December 18, one of the coldest days of 2009, New York comedian Mark Malkoff set out to challenge the notion that New Yorkers aren't nice. His form of measurement? To be carried across the island of Manhattan, by strangers — from the Staten Island ferry to 141st Street, or more precisely, 9.4 miles.
From a gaggle of middle school aged girls to a petite Asian woman to a burly skeptic, Malkoff found the generosity of 155 New Yorkers to help disprove the age-old myth. See his journey for yourself.
One thing this experiment didn't disprove, New Yorkers are damn funny.
