Catch Naomi Campbell's Fashion Show for Haiti Live Online Tonight
Supermodel Naomi Campbell more often than not grabs headlines for her misbehavior, but this week she's getting some attention for the good she's doing for quake victims in Haiti.
Campbell has organized a fashion show to raise money for Haiti relief as part of her annual Fashion for Relief event. This year's star-studded show will be co-hosted by Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and will feature internationally recognized designers.
Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe is putting together the looks, and designer Marc Jacobs has already created a special Louis Vuitton handbag. All the donated garments will be auctioned online at Net-a-Porter starting Feb. 15. All proceeds will go to CARE and the White Ribbon Alliance to support women and children in Haiti.
Campbell organized the first Fashion for Relief event at the Bryant Park tents in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and has since taken it to Tanzania and Mumbai, India, according to the Associated Press.
This year's show, offered only to American Express cardmembers, sold out in a matter of days, but anyone can catch it live here on Tonic at 7 p.m. EST tonight thanks to AOL and Ustream, which are teaming up to stream video of the show to Internet users around the world.
Viewers will be encouraged to donate to CARE through a dedicated Fashion For Relief link with all proceeds going to help rebuild the Haitian healthcare system for mothers and babies affected by the devastating earthquake in Port-au-Prince last month.
"I'm grateful to be able to continue raising awareness and funds to benefit the mothers and babies in Haiti,"said Campbell, according to Marketwatch.com. "I encourage everyone to please log on and continue donating towards this urgent cause."
The 39-year-old Campbell, who rarely walks the runway anymore, will walk in the show. Catch the live stream of the show below at 7 p.m. tonight.
