Share Your Positivity
Here at Tonic, we're all about celebrating the good, the inspirational and the smile-inducing. That's just how we roll. Thankfully, we have many partners in positivity, and one such company wants to make sure that positivity keeps on rolling along.
A jewelry manufacturer in Windsor, Colo., Alexa's Angels, has decided to launch a National Positivity Movement. According to this Reuters press release, part of that campaign will be the first National Share Your Positivity Week, October 11-17, and they want both individuals and businesses to jump on the goodness bandwagon.
A big part of doing so is visiting the Web site ShareYourPositivity.org, which they call the "National Positivity Databank," and posting positive comments. So far, nearly 2,000 people have made their own positive contributions to the site, and more than 50 businesses have agreed to honor National Share Your Positivity Week.
This movement started simply enough. The company's founder, Beth Lang, decided to give away "5,000 sets of specially designed Posi+ivi+y(TM) Bracelets to friends and family with instructions to keep one and pass out the others. The wearable reminders to 'stay positive' and the 'pass it on' concept took off with feedback pouring in from across the country." Along with a "positivity-themed food drive" the company held for a local charity, it began to dawn on them how many people could use positivity in their lives.
Right now, the company's goal is to collect 500,000 positive sentiments on the Share Your Positivity Web site, and have both individuals and businesses do what they can to promote positivity during National Share Your Positivity Week. Among the suggestions are "volunteering, collecting funds for charity, or simply passing on the positivity message."
So, how will you share your positivity?
