Why, Yes, I Would Like a Free Logo

If you work for a nonprofit, you're probably going through what most companies these days are going through — a tightening of the budget belt. If you can get anything at a discount, or more importantly, free, that will help the business in some way, the question isn't, "Will you do it?" The question is, "To what lengths will you go to do it?"

That's what makes this offer I just found out about pretty darn cool. Phoenixfire Solutions, a graphic design firm, just created a Logo4Good program. According to the company's blog, in August, they're offering a free logo to a single nonprofit group, be it for the organization itself or for an event the nonprofit is having.

If you're interested, you can submit a story about your charity between now and Aug. 15. Once they get all the submissions, Phoenixfire Solutions will post all the stories on their blog and let people vote on the best story. Voting takes place from Aug. 18 to 31, and the most votes wins a free logo design. Easy as that.

All the details are available here, and good luck to everyone who enters!
