Rrrrrrrrrrr, Reowwwww

Officer Sasha Monroe in the flesh? Oh yeah. "Nia Long + subway + naked = one of PETA's sexiest ads to date." This is what the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals blog had to say about the controversial organization's latest photo shoot, this time of "Third Watch" star Nia Long. Staged in a New York subway, the poster features the 38-year-old hottie's thighs turning a train hand post into a ready-made dancer's pole. Clasped in sinuous fingers and covering ample breast is a generic copy of the Times, the headline reading "People in the Know Say 'No to Fur.'" Oh, and if you think Nia's non-existent attire is skimpy, there's no accusing PETA of skimping on the graphics: Just above her head is a faux advertisement with an image of a skinned animal accompanied by the words, "Here's the rest of your fur coat."

"When I became a mother I started to really understand the importance of all living creatures in a way I didn't ever think about before," said Long in a video interview accompanying the just-released advertisement. "In being a responsible adult, and really understanding what happens for one fur coat and how many animals are killed and slaughtered for one fur coat, it just isn't worth it to me."

To see more celebs baring their bods for benefits, don't miss the New York Daily News' just-published slide show called Stars Who Strip for a Cause, featuring 29 naughty naked newsies, from Wynona Ryder dropping trou for a Marc Jacobs skin cancer campaign, to Sophie Monk stretched out over a bed of chili peppers for one of PETA's popular pro-vegetarian media blitzes.
