Sakroots Celebrates Emerging Artists

Sakroots, the eco-friendly line by the longtime standard The Sak, recently held an event to launch their new collection celebrating emerging artists.

If you're not into little LVs emblazoned all over everything you own, you'll be right at home with Sakroots, whose sustainably and eco-consciously produced vegan bags come in an array of vibrant colors and textures — and now, you can even get bags which are actually works of art!

"Representing unity and reflecting each artists own unique style, the Sakroots Artist Circle features a 'gallery' of original prints created by artists who share in the brand’s hope of cultivating peace and harmony. Sakroots will introduce a new artist print each season demonstrating The Sak’s overall 'peace' message," said a rep.

The first collection will be available in early Spring 2010, and feature charming Indian and African influenced prints by artist Diane Barcelowsky. Here's some of her artwork:

Sales of these Sakroots bags will benefit The Nature Conservancy, as per usual for the line. Click here to shop for other Sakroots products if you just can't wait!
