Sarah Jessica Parker Auctions Off 'Sex and the City 2' Premiere Tix
Tonic reported earlier in the week that Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Human Rights Campaign Greater New York Gala last Saturday night to present Time Warner with the Corporate Equality Award, but now more details have emerged about Parker's larger contribution to the evening.
At the "Speak the Truth" event, the Human Rights Campaign auctioned off celebrity-donated prizes to raise money for LGBT causes and HRC-funded research. According to Hollywood Life, Ugly Betty's Michael Urie auctioned off a dinner date with himself — and later added in a kiss to increase the asking price, Real Housewives of New York City yenta Jill Zarin and Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn donated a joint day of shopping and lunch with the fun duo.
But no prize could compare to that of Sarah Jessica Parker, who donated a pair of tickets to the world premiere of Sex and the City 2. They sold for an astounding $11,000, and the sequel doesn't even come out until this spring! Even though Parker is being praised for giving away her "own tickets" to her big event, we're guessing she's got an extra set or five on hand.
