Get Carrie-d Away Again!
You know, we spent a good portion of 2009 rolling our eyes at Twi-hards. As they clutched their books, posters and any Twilight paraphernalia or goods that are offered, many (including myself) could not understand just what the point was. All the squealing, crying and low whispers, trying to determine whether you were Team Jacob or Team Edward. They put a fan of anything else to shame, really.
Well, today I slapped my own wrist, because, as one of the loudest anti-Twilight-ers, it was in fact a squeal and a happy dance that occurred when I found out that the Sex and the City 2 teaser trailer has finally arrived!
The movie is set for a May 2010 release but the teaser, opening over the strains of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' hit single "Empire State of Mind," is a gentle, minute-long reminder of why there is a segment of the population that's in debt over fashion and love. Sarah Jessica Parker returns as Carrie Bradshaw with her entourage, Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and just from the short clip, it appears that the film will take a more farcical tone than the first one, which (spoiler alert) found Carrie's beau, John "Mr. Big" Preston, leaving her at the altar. (OK, they get married in the end, but it's the journey folks ... it's the journey.)
I'll admit it, I squealed! Who can get enough of these ladies? Check out the trailer above; it looks great!
And for the record, I'm more of a Carrie/Miranda, and I'm Team Aidan. Discuss amongst yourselves.
