Recycling Just Got Even Sexier

Just when you thought there was nothing left to recycle, Dreamscapes, LLC wants you to recycle your sex toys. That's assuming, of course, you even have any, which I'm not.

David Kowalsky and Jean Kozlowski, founders of the organization, launched the Sex Toy Recycling Program last December with big plans to "reduce the carbon footprint of the adult novelty industry." And they're proud to be recognized as a first-of-their-kind Green Certified Business.

So what do you do with your old news — or overused — pleasure makers? It's easy. First, common courtesy and cleanliness apply, wash them, remove the batteries and place the vibrators, or what have you, in a plastic or paper bag, and pack for shipping. And, if you don't feel like handling the proper disposal of batteries, leave 'em. They'll take care of that for you too.

Now you're probably asking yourself what happens to these gadgets after they leave your care. Well, they clean them upon arrival, and then sort the parts for distribution to recycling facilities for rubber, silicone, hard plastics, metal, e-waste and motors.

And if saving the planet wasn't reward enough, they'll send you a $10 gift card to be used with their affiliated partners.
