Size Really Doesn't Matter

Many of us want to make a difference and help our fellow man, but we don't always know how. Now we can personally connect with others in need and donate money to make an immediate and profound difference — even with just $1.

According to a Massachusetts-based, nonprofit organization, even a small charitable donation can change a life. Small Can Be Big is dedicated to pairing donors with families and individuals in need. Reputable local charities nominate individuals to receive donations and before making a contribution, donors are able to read about the specific circumstances surrounding a family that is in need of financial aid. All money donated goes directly to the recipient of your choice.

When making a donation through the website, www.smallcanbebig.com, you can see exactly how much money is needed to, for example, keep a bright young person in school, keep the power on for a single mother, or help someone to escape an abusive relationship. Donations as little as $1 are accepted and can help to change lives.

So the next time we pull out our wallets to pay for that $4 cup of coffee, maybe we will think twice and use that money to make life a little better for someone less fortunate. Caffeine is good, but helping others feels even better and the buzz lasts way longer. Now that's money well spent.
