The Anti-Gossip: March 6, 2010

monique.jpgThe Game-Changing Oscars: Oscar hype is everywhere, but this year's show marks a turning point in many of the categories — and in the ceremony itself. Find out why in Tonic's all-encompassing guide to the 82nd Academy Awards.

Alice in Wonderland Reviewed: Reagan Alexander reviews Tim Burton's lush, 3-D masterpiece, deeming it a "true wonder." Once again, Johnny Depp turns in a complex performance wherein he makes Lewis Carroll's Mad Hatter completely his own.

Conan O'Brien Changes a Life: Thanks to Conan O'Brien's 10th tweet, Michigan resident Sarah Killen went from having three Twitter followers to over 10,000 when Conan decided to make her the only person he follows. Killen is using her insta-fame to encourage new "fans" to donate to her Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure fundraising drive, and she's also invited O'Brien to her upcoming wedding!

Celebs Trace Their Genealogy: On the new NBC program Who Do You Think You Are?, celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Lisa Kudrow and Stephen Colbert take a "who-are-me" mystery tour through their family history to discover previously-unknown secrets about their family trees.

Lilith Fair Returns With All-Star Lineup: The female empowerment tour founded by Sarah McLachlan enjoyed three hugely successful years at the end of the '90s. It's returning in 2010 with both the original and new headliners and a new charitable cause — but is staying true to its strong feminist message.
