Third Best Job In The World Still Available
Sorry, the best job in the world is taken. But all’s not lost. CNBC reports the third best job in the world is still open!
The job, which was listed in the classifieds of the Singapore Straits Times, is caretaker of New Zealand’s Waiheke Island where you and a companion will be responsible for maintaining the island’s grounds. Of course, that means you’ll have to live at work. Ah, but wait. Did we mention that your office is your own brand new seaside cottage? It’s the price you have to pay for the world’s third best job.
Brit Ben Southall already won the world’s best job, as caretaker of an island in Australia where he’ll explore the Great Barrier Reef, blog about his travels and just generally feel awesome about swimming in the blue sea every day instead of hunkering down in a beige cubicle.
The other top job, according to CNBC, is being a wine blogger in Sonoma, Calif.
Our first question of course is, where do we sign up? That is quickly followed by, why is being a caretaker of a New Zealand island two notches below being the caretaker of an Australian island? There’s going to be an episode of Flight of the Conchords about this, isn’t there?
