Front Row Fundraising
Thinking of checking out some live music this summer? Attending a baseball game? Thanks to an organization called Tickets-for-Charity, you can do your part for the greater good while at the same time getting your fill of summer events.
The company gives fans easy access to hard-to-find tickets in exchange for charitable donations to worthy causes. As charities face tough times in this economy, the innovative model provides a new way to provide important funding. The organization has already raised millions for nonprofits such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Boys & Girls Clubs, City Year, Habitat for Humanity, CARE, Feeding America and the United Way
Tickets-for-Charity, a for-profit enterprise founded by Charity Partners, Inc., works directly with those who have inside access — artists, venues, promoters — to get its generous clients the tickets they want. The full ticket price is supplied to the original ticket source, while 100 percent of the charitable portion of the sale goes to the charity in question. Tickets-for-Charity makes its money by charging a standard service fee.
So whether you want to see Billy Joel and Elton John in their Face 2 Face Tour, be in the first 10 rows of Coldplay's next concert or snag some impossible-to-get-a-hold-of seats at Fenway Park, check out Tickets-for-Charity to see how you can see something good and do something good at the same time.
