Help Provide Autistic Kids With Cool Cars

A partnership that includes May Institute, the National Autism Center and Automoblox has launched "Cars for Classrooms," a charitable campaign that, according to this press release, will donate unique toy cars to schools that work with children and adolescents with autism. The cars are being provided by Automoblox, a company that specializes in toy cars that aim to inspire creative thinking.

The vehicles are constructed so that children can take them apart and put them back together in designs of their own choosing, using a shape and color system. Skills like color matching, shape recognition and fine motor skills can be built along with the cars themselves.

For the "Cars for Classrooms" program, with every car or truck purchased in July and August of this year at the Automoblox website, a vehicle will be donated to a school chosen by May Institute and the National Autism Center. Like the Center, the May Institute is a nonprofit organization that provides services to the those with autism spectrum disorders.

If you buy a vehicle at the website, make sure to enter the code "donation" at checkout.
