Howl at the Moon!

"Twilight" fans will get their next Edward Cullen fix in late November, but they can get an early taste with the "Twilight: New Moon" soundtrack. Chop Shop Records (a division of Atlantic) has just released details of the new disc, which hit stores on Oct. 20.

As previously mentioned on Tonic, Radiohead singer Thom Yorke has indeed contributed music to the film and score. Other artists howling at the "Moon" with new songs include the Killers, Editors, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Grizzly Bear and Bon Iver & St. Vincent. The Muse provided a remix, and Death Cab for Cutie delivered the lead single, "Meet Me on the Equinox."

"We wrote 'Meet Me On the Equinox’ to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the 'Twilight' series, and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters," said Death Cab for Cutie bassist Nick Harmer. "This song marks the first attempt that Death Cab for Cutie has ever made at contributing new, unreleased material for a film. It just seems a perfect synergy that a band from the Northwest would create a song for a series of novels set in the Northwest."

While it's another three weeks until the soundtrack comes out, fans can pre-order one of the many different versions currently featured online. There's a limited edition package with email alerts, stickers, a poster, early access to the songs, a Death Cab t-shirt and even a plaque commemorating the double-platinum sales of the original soundtrack. There's also a USB drive version that comes on a 3-D sculpted "Cullen Crest."

All songs featured on the soundtrack are exclusives and will appear in the film itself, which hits theaters on Nov. 20.
