Paging Dr. Huxtable:Ugly Sweaters Are Back!

Say it's in the name of irony, or "going green" by recycling what you find in the back of your parent's closet, just don't say it's in the name of "fashion." Or, no, you probably can say exactly that seeing as ugly sweaters (yes, think Cosby-show-worthy ware) are back proclaims The Daily Green.

And why shouldn't they? Especially for the holidays, these, shall we say, overly-embellished sweaters speak volumes (if not weigh as much with all their sewed on baubles, beads, and full-on scenes stitched in sequins.) They are heavy! But you know the hipster kids will be on this fashion trench like trucker hats on bedhead from the early 2000s.

Ah, well. We think there may even be a contingency that is secretly thrilled that these festive knits have made a comeback. Just saying, it's possible. (Jingle bell earrings optional.)
