A Reason for "Night at the Museum 3"
Say you don't like museums? I bet there's one in Lviv that you might like -- the Museum of Beer Brewing. Wait 'til Ben Stiller hears about this!
The museum, the first of its kind in the Ukraine, is housed in a 19th century building in the Lvivska Brewery. The tour does include a film of the brewery itself, which turns 300 in six years, but the main focus is on the history of beer making itself dating back to ancient times. History lessons aside, the museum also features an extensive collection of old beer bottles, beer mugs from around the world and even interesting beer barrels. It's a trip back in time when men threw back brews wearing real Viking hats!
All that's cool, but that's not really the main reason you'd go. Don't worry, you won't be disappointed, the tour ends in a makeshift bar where they're happy to pour you a few beers as a reward for your museum-worthy patience. And for those that need more than a few rounds, the brewery has its own public tavern just next door.
Cost for the tour is 15 Ukrainian doors. But before you get all Ebenezer on me, that's less than $2 in U.S. dollars.
