UrbanOrganics.com Delivers Fresh Yummies

Craving fresh fruits and veggies? Don't have the time to make it to the farmers market or grocery store? You're in luck, because it's always possible to get them delivered to your home in a box. You'll not only save time, but you'll be pleasantly surprised each week with foods you might not otherwise think of buying.

If you live in New York City, one such service is UrbanOrganics.com. They bulk-buy produce, groceries and dairy goods from organic farmers' cooperatives, distributors and individual farmers. They give local farmers as much of their business as possible. All of their supplies and produce are certified organic by the USDA, whose stringent standards ensure that no chemicals have been used in the production process.

Their standard box contains a variety of 15-18 different fruits and vegetables each week depending on seasonal availability. They also have several different box sizes and variations (Little Box, Value Box, Extra-Value Box, Juicing Box), one of which should suit your household's size and lifestyle.

And if you don't live in NYC, chances are there's an UrbanOrganic-style service in your area. A quick web search should turn up something. Enjoy!
