Of all the things that need curing in this world, let’s be frank: gray hair ranks pretty low on the list.
There are those of us for whom a cure for the grays would be ignored, wondering why anyone would bother. Some of us have embraced our gray.
For others, it is a matter of: “How soon can I get my hands on it?!”
There’s an answer now, actually.
About 10 years, reports the UK’s Daily Mail. At the research center and Paris headquarters of beauty giant, L’Oreal, scientists are working on a breakthrough treatment comprised of an oral element along with a haircare range to re-pigment the hair.
“Hair is an enigma,” says Patricia Pineau, L’Oreal’s Research Communications Director. “It is a fibre, a material with physical properties. It is also a living organ that grows, greys and falls out. How can we fight this? Do we need a physical approach or a biological approach?”
If 40 is the new 20 and 50 and is the new 30 … and so on and so forth (because yes, it’s true, we live in a youth-obsessed culture), this could offer promise in so much that it will free up some space inside your head instead of worrying so much about what it looks like outside. Or, at least you’ve got 10 years to try to start working on that now.
