A Natural and Old-Fashioned Weed Killer

After repeated attempts at using every single all-natural homemade weed killer that is safe for our environment, I finally discovered the best all-natural solution to eliminate weeds.

I researched and tested every single weed-killing method that was emailed to me:

  • Lemon juice
  • Vinegar
  • Salt
  • Dish soap
  • Vodka (The weeds did seem to bend a bit more a few minutes later!)
  • All of the above in one not-so-pleasant concoction!

Weeks into my endless days and nights of attempting weed murder (someone emailed me a night remedy and being a desperate man, I fell for it), the reality sunk in that unless the pesky weeds drowned from countless sprays and potions, none of the remedies seemed to be working. Once, I even got an email about using bleach — which, the submitter claimed, is harmless to the soil. I knew there was only one thing left to do. Email that idiot back and tell him that the bleach will kill the grass, plants and possibly my pets too!

My amazing discovery came to me while I was cooking some asparagus and took notice at how soft the vegetable became after a few minutes in boiling water.

That’s it! Boiling water poured directly onto the plants and weeds I no longer want will soften the roots and surrounding soil and make it that much easier to pull them all out — ROOT AND ALL! Three days later I boiled huge pots of water, grabbed what was left of the vodka and cranberry juice, and headed outside.

Boiling water and some good old-fashioned PULLING will get the job done — all naturally, too!
