Our favorite do-gooder, Alyssa Milano, has announced that she is expecting her first bundle of joy!
The 38-year-old married agent Dave Bugliari in 2009.
“Yes, it’s true,” she tweeted. “And we couldn’t be happier. Thank you for your warm wishes and love! … I’m reading each one w/ big chunky tears in my eyes … ~GROUPHUG~ Get in.”
She is joining an A-list baby bump brigade that includes Jessica Alba, Ivanka Trump, Alicia Silverstone, Selma Blair, Kate Hudson, Jewel and Victoria Beckham, all of whom have announced since January that they’re pregnant.
Milano has said that she wants to make sure she takes measures to care for the environment while expanding her family. ”After the oil spill, I had this strong feeling that if I ever were to be blessed in having children, I never wanted my kids to see me pumping gas at a gas station,” Ecorazzi reports her as saying. “I think it’s our responsibility to make the changes that we need to take regardless of convenience.”
It’s no surprise — Alyssa is a spokesperson and has raised countless dollars for the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, UNICEF, PETA and charity:water to name a few, not to mention she helped Tonic raise over $11,000 to save 10 abused dogs in December. We have no doubt she will raise her child to be just as kind-hearted. Congrats!
