Amy Poehler Locks Lips With JT

picture_1.pngJustin Timberlake’s Week of World Domination Continues

Last week, we joined AOL’s PopEater in championing Justin Timberlake for an Academy Award for his turn in The Social Network.

On Saturday night, Amy Poehler made her debut hosting Saturday Night Live, revealing her own affection for JT in a more intimate way. Timberlake appeared in Poehler’s dream sequence about how she used to prepare for skits when she was a cast member on SNL. During the sketch, Timberlake offered to help Poehler practice a kissing scene but became totally grossed out once they locked lips. It’s lame when we explain it, but hilarious when you watch it below.

The spiritual guru will take the stage with the rap mogul at this week’s seventh annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball. The pair will join the organization’s co-founder Alicia Keys to raise money at the gala for AIDS treatment, care and support to children and families affected by the disease in Africa and India.

“I’m thrilled that Deepak will be speaking at this year’s Black Ball, sharing his wisdom and motivating us to continue our fight against AIDS,” Keys says. “His words have always been a source of inspiration to me and I’m extremely proud to call him my friend.”

KCA currently funds 10 clinical and orphan care centers in India, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa. To date, KCA has served more than 250,000 people.

We can’t wait to see Keys, Jay-Z and Chopra rock out in their own special ways for this awesome cause.

Katherine Heigl Pledges $1 Million for a Compassion Revolution For Animals

heigl.jpgAs everyone tweeted about Katherine Heigl’s hair color (back to blond) last week, the former Grey’s Anatomy star slipped under the radar and pledged $1 million for a project addressing pet overpopulation in the Los Angeles area. Dubbed the “Compassion Revolution,” the donation was made through Heigl’s organization, The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, named in honor of her older brother who died in a car accident in 1986. The specific breakdown of funds can be found here, and they’re definitely worth reading if you’re an animal lover and want to know all the good a million big ones can do.

Speaking about people who don’t think it is important to spay and neuter their pets, Heigl said: “They have no idea that a litter of 10 means a little of, like 400 in the future. We can tell them and educate them, and provide a way for them to spay and neuter their pets.”

“What’s happening is not only inhumane and morally reprehensible; it’s economically irresponsible. Killing is not a solution,” she added.

The actress lives what she preaches. She and her husband have six adopted rescue dogs and three cats of their own.
