Angelina Jolie is certainly not shy when it comes to giving back. Through her organization, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, she and longtime love Brad Pitt do all they can to assist with countless humanitarian efforts around the world.
Her newest project involves rare stones. Jolie has teamed up with jewelry designer Robert Procop on an exclusive line of wearable gems, with all of the proceeds going to the Educational Partnership for Children of Conflict. Regular folks won’t be able to purchase the one-of-a-kind jewelry, though, as it will only be sold privately to exclusive clients of the designer.
The collaboration was helped by the fact that Jolie has been wearing Procop’s pieces for years. Most recently she wore a black stone necklace he designed to the Salt premiere in Berlin.
Contact Music has Jolie explaining her motivation. “These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place to just be children,” the actress said. “Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”
