Apple’s App Elves Prepare for Christmas

Back in October, Apple Insider announced that the new Mac App Store for the operating system Snow Leopard would launch in three months. Since it wasn’t expected until January, consumers were shocked to find out today that the App Store might actually hit the market on Dec. 13, just in time for Christmas.

It will allow consumers to download and install apps with one click, providing the ease of app use on the iPhone and iPad.

As Kirk Hiner writes on his Apple-obsessed blog, “It’s not a bad idea, of course. Although software always makes a good gift, it generally comes wrapped up with ribbons and bows. That won’t happen with a digital distribution system, but gift cards for said App Store would make those who nearly forgot about buying a gift look like they knew what they were doing all along.”

Per usual, Apple will most likely hold another hyped up conference to announce and discuss the new App Store, suggests Sam Oliver from Apple Insider.

As you’re thinking about giving an app gift card for the holidays, keep in mind these 10 awesome apps that will help you live a happier, healthier and greener life.
