The Little Bikini That Could

Bar R bikiniBar Rafaeli’s got it all: a movie star boyfriend, the cover shot on Sports Illustrated’s hot Swimsuit Issue, and a to-die-for figure that makes guys swoon and girls green with envy.

Now she’s got an additional credential to add to her resume: designer. Rafaeli recently collaborated with Hurley to create this simple-but-sexy bikini that looks good on every body type, including those that aren’t quite as perfect as hers … which applies to just about all of us. It’s officially being called the Little Black Bikini, with a wink to the ubiquitous little black dress that hangs in most women’s closets.

If you’re thinking of picking up a new swimsuit for Memorial Day weekend, there’s an added plus to this one: 10 percent of proceeds go to Boarding for Breast Cancer, a nonprofit that helps educate young people about early detection and prevention of the disease. As the group’s name implies, it’s not a traditional or stuffy charity; the goal is to help stop young women getting breast cancer by stressing the importance of self exams and staying active in a way that’s accessible and — ultimately — extremely effective.

So if you’re dreading pulling on a bikini next weekend, at least with this one you can feel good about helping thwart breast cancer in the process.

The Little Black Bikini is available at Hurley.com.
