Be Very, Very Quiet While Bjork Saves Iceland’s Natural Resources
Icelandic singer Bjork hosted a three-day karaoke-a-thon, called Bjork’s Karaoke Marathon for Nature, this weekend in Reykjavik, to protest a Vancouver-based energy company’s growing stake in Iceland’s HS Orka power plant.
Throughout the music marathon, the singer circulated a petition asking the government to consider revoking the takeover and reportedly gathered 20,000 signatures.

Sean Penn Has Stayed the Course in Haiti
It’s been a year since Sean Penn was inspired to travel to Haiti to help those devastated by last January’s deadly earthquake. While most celebrities have taken their leave of the country, Penn has stayed on the ground, living mostly out of a tent, and provided much-needed aid for more than 50,000 Haitians when there was no one else to help them.
“The [current] projects are shelter-focused with connective tissues to basic services, but even the most well-funded among them are poised to take very small cautious steps in terms of permanent housing,” Penn told AOL’s PopEater of the current situation on the ground in Port-au-Prince.
“There are 1.2 million people displaced, and only small pilot projects in the foreseeable future. The current challenge is the definition or the selection of beneficiaries [for funds both raised and promised], meaning among these extremely vulnerable populations, we can expect nothing more than demonstration models in 2011.”
Rest assured that Penn will stay on the ground in Haiti for as along as it takes. God bless him for it.
Kate Hudson Finally Has a Real Baby Bump
After about a year of press speculation that Kate Hudson is expecting a bundle of joy (or has just eaten a burger), a source close to the sexy starlet has revealed exclusively to Us Weekly that she is indeed 14 weeks pregnant.
Hudson, 31, has been dating Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, 32, for nine months.
“It was not planned, but they are excited and embracing it,” the source reveals to Us. The insider adds that the actress is excited for her 7-year-old son Ryder (with ex-husband Chris Robinson, 44) to have a playmate. “She is happy for Ryder to finally have a brother or sister,” says the source.
