BlackBerry has already partnered with Research in Motion, or RIM. Today, RIM and BlackBerry announced the release of another device that will rival Apple‘s iPhone: the Torch (at right). They also revealed details on their new operating system: the BlackBerry OS 6.
“The US no longer lags in smartphones,” AT&T‘s president and CEO of mobility and consumer markets Ralph de la Vega said. “It is the leader. Today we’re introducing the best BlackBerry ever.”
Not only does the Torch include both a touchscreen and a keypad, but it also has a universal mailbox that aggregates your Twitter, Facebook, email and more.
But how fast will it be? According to BlackBerry, the OS 6 is quick enough to compete with Google‘s Android operating system.
