Yesterday, it was announced that Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker, 23, has joined Rihanna, Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgard in the upcoming film directed by Peter Berg, Battleship — yes, as in the board game made by Hasbro.
Decker will play the role of the lead character’s sweetheart, played by Kitsch. The basic storyline goes like this: A group of aliens come to earth because they need something from the world’s oceans, and of course, they “battle using the ship” to stop them from doing so. The film is expected to begin shooting in Hawaii in a few weeks, with the intention of being released in May, 2012.
