Castle Of Your Dreams

Castle Of Your Dreams

July 6

In the pretty, pretty princess dreams of my childhood, the castle I lived in overlooked the ocean, had at least 50 rooms, and one giant tower that showed just how badass my imaginative property was.

Apparently, I’m imagination deficient, cause my noggin’ didn’t do justice to what paper craft artist Wataru Itou is capable of — check it out.

According to Tokyobling’s Blog, this extravaganza of lights, paper, and awesome are an art installation shown in Tokyo. The handiwork of Wataru Itou, a university art student in the city, the piece is called “A Castle On the Ocean.”

I think that title doesn’t quite cut it. “A Castle Built On An Ocean of Patience, Freakishly Precise Artistry, and Generally Schooling Us All On How To Be Rad” is more accurate, don’t you think?

You have to click over to Tokyobling. That blog has a bunch more pictures; it’s totally worth it. Let your imagination run wild!
