Dee Snider Gets a Town Named After Him

dee-snider.jpg

Dee Snider, the musician, radio personality and actor, is most famous for his role as the front man of the ’80s heavy metal band Twisted Sister. He is also the star in the new reality show about his life on A&E called Growing Up Twisted.

He must be much loved in Cridersville, Ohio because the town of 1,500 people decided to rename themselves “Snidersville” for one day in honor of Snider. He said, “I’ve had many dreams and been lucky enough to have most of them come true, but I would never dare to dream of something like this!”

Snider will host a motorcycle ride to support the March of Dimes‘ “Bikers for Babies” initiative, where he and a crew of bikers will ride from Lima, Ohio to the newly named “Snidersville” on Aug. 21.
