The Louisiana brewing company Abita is as fed up with British Petroleum as you are. Maybe even more so. But they’re not holding their breath for relief funds to flow in from the oil giant while pelicans remain drenched in brown gunk! They’re doing what they do best — making beer — but this time, 75 cents of every bottle sold will go to the SOS (Save Our Shores) Fund.
“We’re going to be very flexible [about which charities the fund supports],” says an Abita representative. “We want to support relief efforts both large and small, and get the money where it needs to go … to fishermen, to the environment.”
