Today the makers of the tasty cheddar cheese stuffed pretzel snack Combos, ranked Charlotte N.C. the “manliest city” in 2010!
So what defines “manly” these days? Just think about what your Uncle Don does on the weekend. The criteria is simple — improvement stores, steak houses, pickup trucks and motorcycles.
“Charlotte is NASCAR country so we’re not surprised that they’ve taken over the top spot,” said Craig Hall, the general manager of Mars Chocolate in North America.
The new ranking came just in time to help spotlight a new festival this Saturday, June 26, in Charlotte’s historic art district, NoDa. They will be hosting the inaugural DudeFest filled with beer tasting, chicken wings, music and motorcycles. NoDa saw the invasion of Femmefest 2010 last month so I guess it’s time for the ladies to step aside and let the dudes roar as they celebrate their national manliness. Only in America.
