Last weekend, actress Hilary Duff, 22, and hockey player Mike Comrie, 29 tied the knot. They’ve been dating since 2007 when they met at an Idaho resort. It wasn’t until this year that Comrie popped the question and walked down the aisle next to Duff with her $1 million diamond engagement ring shining in the California sun.
Comrie’s father is worth about $500 million, so they decided to sign a prenuptial agreement. “It was a totally amicable agreement,” an insider said. “They love each other very much and knew this was just a technicality.”
They obviously care for one another, but it’s always hard to tell how long these Hollywood relationships will last. Who’s to say whether they will stay married but at least they enjoy spending time together?
“We both have busy jobs, and we’re both very focused people, so that helps,” she told Us.
Comrie added, “We have fun. We both live such different lives, but it’s always fun to support each other and spend time when we get to.”
