Get Pumped With Hugh Jackman (for a Good Cause)
Work out with Wolverine! Wanna know how an X-Man gets his biceps into top shape for his next movie? Now you can find out — and help The Summit School in Queens, New York, a school for children with special needs. CharityBuzz is hosting an auction in which you can bid on the chance to work out with Mr. Jackman himself not once but twice in a private Manhattan gym with his personal trainer while he prepares for his next movie. Cleveland Rocks, Says Lady Gaga
Drew Carrey was right, Cleveland doesn’t deserve the bad rap its’ been getting as of late. In 30 Rock, Liz Lemon refused to move to Cleveland to be with her boyfriend Floyd. On TV Land’s surprise summer sitcom hit, Hot in Cleveland, three die-hard L.A. residents decide to take up residence in the Ohio city after their plane makes an emergency landing there while enroute to Paris. The somewhat negative wisecracks about life in the Midwest abound. And, there’s the whole LeBron leaving thing. Now, however, Lady Gaga has stepped in to stand up for the downtrodden city.
At a concert in Cleveland on Wednesday night, Gaga announced, “I wrote a #1 record in Cleveland.” She also tweeted that she opted to skip a visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to work on a new hit song on her tour bus that will “put [her] in it.”

Annie Lennox Speaks & Sings at TED Global
The “Walking on Broken Glass” singer is using her hit-maker status to do a world of good these days. Not only was she recently named UNAIDS’ new Goodwill Ambassador, she also spent the past week at the TED Global Conference in Oxford, England. While there, Ms. Lennox gave a presentation about her work with HIV and AIDS and also performed. She wrote on her official blog: “I’m really grateful to have this platform to campaign, and try to spread the message of SING … which is ostensibly, to wake people up into realizing and understanding more about the HIV/AIDS pandemic, as it plays out in the lives of women and children, and to try to make a difference by supporting organizations who are working to support those who are affected.”
