I love Jamba Juice mainly because their smoothies are pretty darn tasty, but they also seem like a pretty cool company that tries to promote healthy living. They recently launched a give-back program that continues those efforts as they try to build healthier communities.
The “Sip to Support” give-back program launched on Friday to support schools and community organizations. When these groups sign up to take part in the program, Jamba Juice gives them swipe cards, ones they then pass on to their supporters. From there, whenever people use the swipe cards to buy something at Jamba Juice, the company will give 10 percent of that purchase to the organization.
It’s a particularly good time for the swipe cards, as Jamba Juice’s chairman, president and CEO, James D. White, notes. “With the school year just beginning, this is the perfect time to launch this program. Sip to Support provides schools and other community organizations a fun, easy way to raise valuable funds for their programs.”
The company has launched other Sip to Support programs this year in support of healthy schools and nutrition education, along with promoting getting active and being physically fit, and have partnered with organizations such as the National PTA, the National Gardening Association, the WNBA and Active.com. You can find out more about the program at the company’s website.
