Is Jessica Alba a Secret Kickball Star?

Jessica Alba and Her Hubby Play Kickball For Charity

The 29-year-old actress served as pitcher at the Rising Stars of America All-Star Kickball Game over the weekend. It was a real family affair. Jess brought along her very own cheerleader — her adorable daughter, Honor — and hubby, Cash Warren, was the game’s MVP!

Rising Stars of America was founded in 2004 by Baron Davis, point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers, as a way for him to give back to the community. RSOA’s mission is to utilize athletics as a means of teaching ethical social values and life skills through mentorship and positive role modeling to kids.

Plus it gives stars the opportunity to act like kids themselves. Love it!

Eva Longoria Parker’s Desperate Tweets For Haiti

eva_longoria_parker.jpgThe Desperate Housewives vixen has turned to Twitter to encourage her fellow celebs to donate items to an upcoming charity auction she is throwing to benefit ongoing earthquake relief in Haiti.

The actress has used the social networking site to contact stars including Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Mary J. Blige to urge them to get involved.

Her tweets are so persuasive too. In one tweet to Swift she wrote, “Hey Taylor! We have a super simple idea for a charity auction 4 Haiti & would LOVE for U to be a part! Can we send U details?”

And polite!

The guerilla tweets seem to be working. Rosario Dawson and Alyssa Milano have already signed onto help, but it looks like Eva won’t rest until she gets everyone involved!

In addition to the auction, Eva has been working with the charity A Home for Haiti to raise cash for sturdy, waterproof tents to provide shelter for the homeless.

What do they say about desperate times and desperate measures again?

The suggested donation is very affordable, with $5.00 buying five pairs of new shoes. The challenge ends on September 12, 2010 and all donations are tax-deductible.
