Keep Your Hands Clean, George

Maybe it’s not the lead story every night on TV news, but the swine flu is still a huge problem — it has, after all, been named a worldwide pandemic and is predicted to be a global health issue for the next couple years. We all know that the best way to prevent getting the flu is to keep your hands clean, and those tiny mini-bottles of hand sanitizer are great … but they typically dry out your hands until they’re a pair of parched, cracked (but at least clean!) mitts.

Just in time for summer camping trips and germ-infested airplane rides comes Clean George, a line of non-drying hand sanitizers that actually moisturize as they clean. Since alcohol is the main drying agent in many of these products, Clean George leaves that out, depending instead on natural sanitizers like tea tree oil to kill germs. Every ingredient in Clean George’s ultra-portable bottles is 100 percent ECOCERT certified organic, which means other common caustic components, like parabens and phthalates, have also been left out. And you’ve gotta love their motto: “Good for humans, good for the planet.”

A quick schmear of this stuff will leave your hands smooth, germ free, and nice smelling too … since there are a few different clean-and-natural scents available, like grapefruit and mint.
