If there’s something we hate at Tonic, it’s polluted waterways. But what we really hate is dry skin. Lucky for us (and you!), Kiehl’s skin and hair care company is combating both with one great line of lotions.
Kiehl’s is celebrating the launch of their 16 oz. Superbly Restorative Argan Body Lotion by creating a collection of Limited Edition bottles featuring some well-known do-gooders. All (100 percent) net proceeds will support Water Keeper Alliance, a grassroots organization devoted to “protecting and preserving community waterways from polluters.”
The lotions, which are made from fairly-traded and organic Argan oils and leaf extract, feature “socially conscious influencers” from all walks of life: An actor, a musician, an athlete, and three students,” according to a press release from Kiehls.
To be a bit more specific, Kiehls is partnering up with some pretty famous peeps — all known for their devotion to making the world a little better through charity work and support. Adrian Grenier (Vince from HBO’s Entourage), musician Erykah Badu, world-champion surfer Kelly Slater and three students from Parson’s The New School for Design were photographed by world-famous celebrity photographer Terry Richardson and all act as the inspiration for different bottle designs.
If you need more reasons to hand over your cash for a bottle, there are plenty. The lotion actually helps skin defend itself from free-radical damage, contains anti-oxidants and smells like orange and eucalyptus. Yum!
Kiehl’s has been giving back to the same communities it does business with since 1851, according to Kiehl’s USA president Chris Salgardo.
“We just hope that through the use of these and other Kiehl’s products, you will think a little bit more about the world we live in and how you can do your part to support the community you live in,” Salgardo said in the company’s press release.
And besides, who doesn’t love a musician/actor/student/surfer with great skin?
