CBS Reporter Lara Logan Getting Better Every Day

screen_shot_2011-02-22_at_9.54.05_am.pngThe CBS reporter who was brutally attacked as she reported from inside Cairo during the Egyptian uprising is on the road to recovery, according to the Sunday Times of London.

“Lara is getting better daily,” a friend told the Times. “The psychological trauma is as bad as, if not worse than, the physical injuries.”

New details of Logan’s attack, which occurred almost two weeks ago, emerged over the weekend. The new reports reveal that the 39-year-old reporter was whipped by makeshift flagpoles, kicked, punched, pinched and pulled by her hair during the celebration of the downfall of Hosni Mubarak.

The Times reports that Logan was also accused of being an Israeli spy.

Logan received treatment in a New York City hospital upon her return and is currently recuperating at her home in Washington, DC.

Friends say that although she is doing much better, it will be some time before she returns to work.
