Fundacion Azara, an ecological foundation in Argentina, has teamed with famed photographer Gaby Herbstein to produce a 2010 calendar for their “Huella Ecologica” — or “Ecological Footprint” — campaign. According to the foundation’s blog, the Ecological Footprint Campaign “aims to broadcast on the environmental crisis afflicting the planet and promote action to help reverse the trend.”
The calendar features 12 Latin celebrities in striking poses and situations to drive home the importance of ecological conservation and the green movement. Topics depicted include deforestation, global warming, extinction, water contamination and other pressing crises facing the planet today.
Twelve Argentinean stars including Sabrina Garciarena, Luciana Salazar and Ronnie Arias will kick off the campaign with the calendar this month. Throughout the year, they will continue to promote the Ecological Footprint Campaign’s message on television, in the media, going on the road and making local conference stops, and through social media sites.
