“If you laugh, you change; and when you change, the world changes.” – Shilpa Shah
Shilpa Shah and Celina Stockill have a grand plan to make a difference in this world, and it starts with a laugh. They believe that a good giggle can help people from Zimbabwe lighten up and cope with the struggles of poverty. Studies have shown that laughing is truly good for on all levels; emotional, mental and physical.
The two women hold workshops at the Harare International Festival of the Arts and asked Zimbabweans to hold hands, make funny faces while pointing at each and kick their legs in the air while lying on the floor. They believe that you don’t have to have to be happy to laugh. Just do it!
Shah explains, “So it’s peace to the world, laughter to Zimbabwe, so let’s share the happiness and spread the happy-demic.”
