Linda McMahon, the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), won the Connecticut Republican Senate primary on Tuesday.
McMahon has already spent more than $20 million of her own money to fund her campaign and said she’s ready to spend whatever it takes to beat Democrat Richard Blumenthal in November.
“What I’ve continually done is build momentum,” since entering the race last September, McMahon said, “because I have been out talking with the people of Connecticut. I’ve been listening to them. I’ve been letting them meet me, kick the tires a bit and understand what my message is about.”
