Ludacris Still in a Giving Mood

Just a couple months after rolling out his car giveaway in his native Atlanta, Ludacris is at it again maintaining his philanthropic endeavors in his hometown.

Following the tumultuous flood waters that left parts of metro Atlanta devastated in September, the rapper offered aid to the ailing city through his Ludacris Foundation. Hip Hop Wired reports he donated $10,000 for victims of the tragedy.

Now he’s stepping in again and helping a local elementary school that was hit hardest by the crisis. Cris visited with students who found their entire elementary school completely submerged under flood waters.

He visited Austell Intermediate and Compton Elementary, where the students have been placed while their school continues to be repaired, and donated 500 coats through the LudaCares initiative of his Ludacris Foundation.

“We’re here in Cobb County giving coats for children. Giving ‘em an early Thanksgiving and an early Christmas — or a Luda-Christmas, I should say,” he told local news outlet 11Atlanta.

You didn’t think he was going to get away without making a Luda-ism did you? This comes just after he teamed up with Nissan to give cars to 20 people in need. Applicants were asked to describe in 300 words why they deserved a new set of wheels. Ludacris and his mother, Roberta Shields, along with Ludacris Foundation staff reviewed the essays and chose the final 20.
