Nick Jonas Goes it Alone with His ‘Administration’

Oh, you swoon-worthy, purity-ring wearing Jonas Brother you.

Nick Jonas, we mean, natch. Nick who is one of the heralded (among the tween/teen-set) brothers of the Jonas Brothers.

Nick, who already has proven his middle-child mettle by stepping out of the blazing Jonas Brothers spotlight to form his own solo act, Nick Jonas and the Administration. (Is the name perhaps his very subtle hint for future forays into politics? Hello, get former Nirvana bass player, Krist Novoselic on the line!)

At just 17-years-old, Nick probably is aware that the Disney-generated limelight can fade as quickly as appeared, and along with making the rounds as a speaker on behalf of raising awareness for juvenile diabetes, he’s branded himself the Jo Bros to watch (that is until little Frankie Jonas, the youngest of the four comes out in a few more years, heaven help us!), with the aptly named CD, Who I Am being released this week, the title reflecting his desire to distinguish himself from his family (you know how teenagers are.)

He’s a busy boy, that Nick,  because the day before his album released, Nick rode with former/current gal pal, Selena Gomez, to a taping of the We Are The World remake (his brothers were there, too).

But don’t despair, because Nick’s side project is, Joe Jonas assured Access Hollywood, in no way a sign that the Jonas Brothers have broken up.

At least not until their record contract is up.

You can watch a video and hear the music at Nick’s MySpace page here.

If the Twitter-a-minute frenzy in process, with all the exclamations of everlasting love for Nick is any indication, he’s not going to have any trouble selling copies.
