Natalie Portman Better Not Catch You With a Plastic Water Bottle

natalie-portman.jpgWhen the ballet thriller Black Swan hits theaters on Dec. 3, most people will be talking about the steamy onscreen kiss between stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. But Portman, a devotee of all things eco, wants to talk about how director Darren Aronofsky banned plastic water bottles from the set.

Instead, he wisely provided environmentally-friendly alternatives so the actors could stay hydrated.

“He made sure that there were no water bottles anywhere on set which is a huge deal. We should not have water bottles anywhere and we were drinking tons of water, obviously, because we’re dancing and expending so much energy,” Portman explains.

“Everyone was given containers and there were things to fill it up on the set. At lunch every day, instead of having Styrofoam which most movies have, we got eco-containers instead of just wasting stuff that’s poisonous.”

With a Nalgene costing just 10 bucks, we can all afford to accessorize like the stars.
