Nominate Your Favorite Changemaker

Change.org, a site that inspires and empowers people to take action on the causes they care about, this week announced that it has begun accepting nominations for its Changemakers Network, to be composed of the world’s leading activists and advocates who have the greatest possibility of creating real change on today’s most important issues.

Change.org will invite the Changemakers selected by a public vote to write about their work on the site as a way of reaching out to the 500,000 activists and 20,000 affiliated bloggers, exposure that can greatly amplify their messages.

Changemakers already nominated include big names like Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, Michael Moore and Bono. Lesser-known activists on the list include Zainab Salbi, founder and CEO of Women for Women International, Rodger Schlickeisen, president of Defenders of Wildlife and Dr. Helen Caldicott of Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Nominate your own favorite Changemaker or vote today on those already chosen.
